Water moccasin or Agkistrodon piscivorous showing me his, oh so spooky, threat display. 

These guys are major bluffers. Throwing their head back and opening their mouth in dramatic fashion to display that bright white mouth. 

This type of interaction most often ends with the snake fleeing hastily in the opposite direction of the perceived threat(me).

Lightning over the Alico Lake. 

I made this image last night during the intense lightshow we got here in SWFL. Apparently I married the best woman on earth because Moriah not only agreed to stop at my office in the middle of the night, she also agreed to sit outside with me during a lightning storm. :P 

Luckily my office is right on this lake and the building provides some decent cover for getting shots like this without to much risk to me or my camera(or my wife).
